Celebrations

CHRISTMAS:
Now, though Tom & Henry appear completely oblivious to all the madness surrounding Xmas, they'd be the first to notice if there weren't extra treats as promised!

Here at WW there will be napping and galloping but the key to a good holiday is being under no pressure at all, well that's just how we roll here.

With Doctor Who on on Christmas day, we have plenty of entertainment too.  Plus we'll be stuffed most of the time, brilliant!

While we are all rushing about making sure the shelves at Tesco are completely emptied, and we have enough vegetarian mince pies to feed the whole village, even though they only close for 2 days, the boys are rest assured we are well stocked up for horse feed, carrots, apples, hay and bedding.

The very last thing we want to think about is work, and let's face it Tom & Henry don't work for a living, prefering the fame of just being gorgeous to get them through life...it works too.

I'd put up a tree, but Tom would just eat it!

don't you just love them?

TCJpart93 Mad Moments

YAA-HOO!
...and the moments your horse, for no discernible reason at all, goes charging past you, spinning your head around and wafting your hair in his wake.

Like an impatient BMW driver flashing his lights behind you in the outside lane, Henry was desperate to get around Tom for a gallop this morning.  I had 2 cats with me and we took to the bushes for safety.  But, Tom was not to be rushed, he was planning his take-off point inside the field where he could dig his toes in a really go.

So, turfs flying and hooves thundering Tom & Henry went whizzing past us this morning whilst I was poo-picking.

Just having fun and obviously Henry is feeling better from his mud fever too, so it makes me happy to see them playing.

Why do they do it?  I think it's practise for running away and they really enjoy running.

TCJpart73 Mad Moments

TRAKEHNERS PLAYING:
Tom & Henry at play.

Glad I'm not on them and there's a sturdy fence between us...where's my tea?!

When you watch the videos, hum the theme tune to Black Beauty!

The photos don't do the scene a complete justice:  the smell is damp warm grass and possible rain in the air,  the sound is blackbirds and thundering hooves on soft ground, squealing from Henry, snorting from Tom, skidding and turfs flying.  Also you can hear me begging them to slow down and not come crashing through the fence as well as screams of laughter! A seriously fast sequence full of energy and power.

I had just brushed them, so it all started with some very animated rolling.

John and I had a few days off and just happened to be out at the time, and saw the whole event.
